Introduction

School recruitment is a very important thing to every student and school in Singapore. For the students, it might determine which school they will go to and their future career and for the school it might determine what kind of students they will get. Every school conducts school enrollment, if not it will have no students,school enrollments are conducted in different manners like for some schools you have to do a test to join a school,while for other schools,all you might have to do is register to get into it.

Students aiming for certain schools might depend on PSLE and DSA(direct school admission).

SST is a school which students can only depend on DSA to be registered. So PSLE would not matter for the student's admission. Schools like SST use DSA to target the type of students that they want. So for example, SST aims to enroll students who are creative, who think for themselves and have a strong interest for science and technology and loves hands on activities.And probably PSLE does not test these qualities. So in the end the type of students and the types of school is well matched, which is beneficial for both of them, especially for the students.SST is a school which use technology and hands on activities to function.Studies in the US says that helps stimulate motivation and self-esteem.Technology can also let students share their knowledge on social networks.Technology also allows students to explore the cyber world and learn more different kinds of things.Technology can also allow students to think in a more advanced way. Studies in UK sas that when more than one method of learning is accessed as in hands-on learning, the information has a better chance of being stored in the memory for useful retrieval because it is easier to understand by doing things. Hands on activities causes students to rely on the evidence instead of upon authority, like wikipedia and online websites.

Thus, my school SST is a great school to be in since it uses both technology and hands on activities to teach wich is a very good combination.SST is located in clementi which is an ideal location by being in a more populated area thus allowing more students to come to SST for the distance for the many students living around there is short.

SST has a lot of students signing up for school enrollment since SST is such a great school.But of course SST needs more good students. So SST has to try to entice more students to sign up for school enrollment so they can get more good students.

So now SST is trying to increase its intake.An so now i am trying to find out which are the best ways to increase intake by studying the reasons why the current SST chose SST,was it because of the activities it organized or the posters.Well I am going to find out.

Topic:To understand which way is the best way to entice more students to sign up for SST school enrolment.

Significance:So SST can try the best areas and ways to get more students trying out for the DSA.

It is manageable as the most of the research can be done in sst.

sst does not have many people and it is easy to interview them as i know quite a lot of them.And 50 is already enough to interview.Surveys can also be used.
